Father Steven R. Smith+

Here Father Steve+ celebrates the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony.

Father Steve+ is a dedicated emergency services first responder. God Bless him for all that he does!

Background info.  A tornado hit North Carolina on the 16th of April 2011.  Of the 18 counties, Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville and Onslow County were in it's path.  I was dispatched at 8:30PM on Saturday to the Piney Green Incident Command Post.  On Tuesday, I was assigned command for the Strike Team of Mental Health Providers and coordinated teams through three different damaged areas.  We ended the first phase Wednesday and will start follow-ups next week.

United Church in Christ

San Juan, Puerto Rico

In this photo we can see Rev. Raquel Rodríguez-Sostre addressing the congregation during the graduation of our chaplains. Our church offers a Chaplaincy Course to certify Chaplains in Puerto Rico. On this occasion we graduated seven (7) Chaplains.

On March 6, 2011 we baptized 5 new members in our church. Rev Samuel Sostre is pictured during the baptism ceremony.

In January 2011, Presbyters of our church took a cruise to several Caribbean Islands. In this photo we are in one of the ports (I am not sure which).
